How Bucking Chutes™ Began

Bucking Chutes began on long summer road trips across the Midwest with a collegiate baseball team, chasing games from one town to the next. Between games, the brand’s founder kept ending up at small-town rodeo arenas, watching riders haul themselves across states overnight and put everything on the line.

Seeing the commitment these athletes made to keep doing what they love sparked a simple idea: build a brand that celebrates this way of life and gives something back to the people living it every day. From that idea, Bucking Chutes was born — a rodeo-inspired apparel brand rooted in the grit, energy, and community of the sport.

The Mindset Behind The Brand

Behind Bucking Chutes is a former collegiate athlete from the class of 2024 whose time in sports greatly shaped who he is. The discipline, the teammates, & the opportunity to compete while earning a degree showed him how impactful it can be when someone has the chance to chase both academic and athletic goals. Bucking Chutes is driven by that same idea: helping even one athlete extend their career, stay in school, or keep going a little longer is incredibly fulfilling. That mindset guided years of studying how to build a brand the right way — working with founders and mentors before ever
printing the first tee.

Where Bucking Chutes™ Is Today

After launching in January 2025, our first line found a home faster than expected. Bucking Chutes™ is now carried by western specialty retailers and in Boot Barn stores nationwide, from coast to coast.

We’ve also had the honor of collaborating with Coach Ben Londo and the Cal Poly Rodeo team on “The Trail” and their “Break a Wave” event, creating a custom line where half of all proceeds go directly back to their program.
